School Makes Boy Take American Flag Off Bike

13-year-old Cody Alicea rides with an American flag on the back of his bike. He says he does this to be patriotic and to honor veterans, like his own grandfather, Robert. He's had the flag on his bike for two months but Monday, was told to take it down.

A school official at Denair Middle School told Cody some students had been complaining about the flag and it was no longer allowed on school property.

Order since rescinded but the fact that it could be made with a straight face to begin with speaks volumes...

Amazon selling several child molestation books

After suffering a public relations nightmare yesterday, online marketer Amazon.com removed "The Pedophile's Guide to Love and Pleasure" from its virtual bookstore – but the company continues to sell at least seven pro-molestation titles that are even more offensive.

Amazon is still offering two books written by a Dutch professor and pedophile, and five by an unapologetic pro-"boylove" American, David Riegel, who compares himself to human rights crusader Andrei Sakharov in the introduction to one of his books.

In fact, Amazon devotes an entire web page to Riegel and his work. Riegel, in turn, credits Amazon for keeping his book, "Understanding Loved Boys and Boylovers," available to the public for nearly a decade....

..."Amazon.com believes it is censorship not to sell certain titles because we believe their message is objectionable," the company wrote to critics.

Greaves acknowledged in "The Pedophile's Guide to Love and Pleasure" that sex between adults and boys can be harmful to the boys.

"This is my attempt to make pedophile situations safer for those juveniles that find themselves involved in them, by establishing certain rules for these adults to follow," wrote Phillip Greaves.

Obama Praises "Toleration" as Indonesian Churches Burn

For those Christians whose experience of Indonesian "toleration" is not limited to childhood memories, Obama’s words are likely to elicit sorrow and pain. A day before, an attempt to set fire to St. Joseph Catholic church in Klaten, Central Java, was foiled and caused only minor damage, he said in a report made available to The Jakarta Post. On Oct. 17, radical Muslims threatened to attack a Catholic church in Karanganyar, Central Java.

Last month, an unidentified group attacked a Catholic church in Pasir regency, East Kalimantan, it said.

Most of the incidents over the last several years took place in Greater Jakarta and West Java, including attacks and forcible church closures that occurred with little or no intervention from the government, the report said....

But a new campaign on Twitter asks women to say "I had an abortion" and summarize that experience in 140 characters or less. The campaign was started by Steph Herold, a pro-abortion activist who launched the website Iamdrtiller.com to honor the murdered abortionist Dr. George Tiller, who killed children through the ninth month of their gestation. Ms. Herold's Twitter name for the "I had an abortion" campaign is "IamDrTiller," and her aim is to destigmatize abortion. One poster said the tweets also were a way to "silence" the men and women of Silent No More. But they will no longer be silent. Nor can the story of any abortion be told in just a few words.

Thankfully there are those speaking out about the pain oaf abortion in far greater numbers. 

Kathryn B. drove 600 miles and overcame an almost debilitating attack of nerves to be at the National Memorial for the Unborn in Chattanooga, Tenn., last month to tell the story of the choice she had made 19 years earlier to abort her baby.

"I actually believed the choice was somehow humane," said the Cleveland resident. "Like a lamb to the slaughter, I signed the form."

Islamic protesters sparked fury today after they burned a model of a poppy and deliberately broke the silence at Armistice Day commemorations in central London.

As millions of Britons fell silent to remember those who have died in war, members of a group called Muslims Against Crusades clashed with police during an 'emergency demonstration' in Kensington, west London....

They held banners which read 'Islam will dominate' and 'Our dead are in paradise, your dead are in hell'.

But of course the real reason for the teen pregnancy rate going up is we don't have enough sex-ed in the classroom. According to C-Fam:

According to International Planned Parenthood Federation, the brochure called “Healthy, Happy and Hot” has become their most popular publication. 

Aimed at young people with HIV, the brochure contains sexually explicit language and promotes casual sex with multiple partners, as well as oral, anal, and homosexual sex.  

“Some people like to have aggressive sex,” says the brochure.  “There is no right or wrong way to have sex.”    It encourages young people who might have sex after drinking or using drugs to “plan ahead by bringing condoms.”  Another section suggests readers visit family planning clinics for help in preventing or aborting unplanned pregnancies.   

The publication encourages youth to keep their sexual activity secret from their parents, as well as visits to family planning clinics.  “You should find out whether there are any centers near to you where you can go without needing the permission of your parents or guardians.” 

Good grief. Next thing you know they'll want to teach this crap from day one...oh, wait...

Mystery Missile Launch- Or Contrail

(CBS)  A mysterious missile launch off the southern California coast was caught by CBS affiliate KCBS's cameras Monday night, and officials are staying tight-lipped over the nature of the projectile.

CBS station KFMB put in calls to the Navy and Air Force Monday night about the striking launch off the coast of Los Angeles, which was easily visible from the coast, but the military has said nothing about the launch.

KFMB showed video of the apparent missile to former U.S. Ambassador to NATO Robert Ellsworth, who is also a former Deputy Secretary of Defense, to get his thoughts.

Jihad and Stoning

Couple of articles on the President's visit to India.

Both mention his non-answer to a young woman's question on Jihad:

“The phrase jihad has a lot of meaning within Islam and is subject to a lot of different interpretations, but I will say that first Islam is one of the world's great religions. More than a billion people practise Islam and an overwhelming majority view their obligations to a religion that reaffirms peace, fairness, tolerance. I think all of us recognise that this great religion in the hands of a few extremists has been distorted by violence,” Mr. Obama said.

He saw isolating these “distorted notions” as the challenge before us. He stressed on practising universal principles, irrespective of one's religion or opinion of a religion.

“Whatever may be your religion we can treat each other with respect as per some of the universal principles...."  

Over at Sense of Events, they continue with this line of questioning and answers, what the president would/could not:

New York to Sydney in just 2hrs 30mins

NASA is planning to build hypersonic jets that will fly through the Earth’s atmosphere and slash flight times around the world to a few hours at most.

The US space agency wants to manufacture a craft that would travel at five times the speed of sound and bring in a new age of aircraft akin to a turbo-charged Concorde.

Travelling at such speed would reduce the flight time from New York to Sydney to around two-and-a-half hours, from the 21 hours it is now.

The project is thought to be aimed at making a reusable aircraft that could fly to Mars but, as with previous space technology, it could have a huge impact upon passenger transport too.

The failure of sex education in the public schools, the failure of a contraceptive societal mindset, the false idea that every family, no matter how defined, is the same, the failure of a welfare state that discourages traditional family, and the lie that marriage doesn't matter, all tied up in one article. Let's pray that the public discourse continues. But of course the article also proves that there are some pretty stupid people discoursing and missing the obvious.
