Robert Stacy McCain reminds us that many conservatives were once liberals, most notably Ronald Reagan. Obmas' umm, lack of follow though, on campaign promises which lacked detail of any sort may pay off:

Well, if they don't become conservatives maybe the ignorant and uninformed/illinformed will just stop voting.

I have to say that when I consider the problems facing the US at the moment, as well as Obama's actions so far, I fear for you.
However, when I consider the individual Americans I know, I have hope for you, because, however eviscerated the economy, you have such resources of human capital as to make me believe in American exceptionalism.
I hope we can step up to the plate in this country, too. But I'm not so sanguine about us...

Otepoti- We actually don't sing in our Sunday School class as a general rule. I recently sang a bit from "Come, Thou Fount" in a discussion about what an "Ebenezer" was. (Referenced in a previous prayer study) But I thin k the experience sufficiently traumatic for adults assembled that it probably won't happen again anytime soon. Obviously what we were missing was a good piano player. ;-)
KK- let me know how that visit with the Kos acks goes..
