As a weather forecaster I always get a chuckle with articles like these. We can't forecast beyond five days and yet we are POSITIVE we are in a warming trend and even more positive we are responsible. It occurs to me there is a certain amount of hubris to go with our false faith in computer models.

The U.S. National Climatic Data Center (NCDC) reported that many American cities and towns suffered record cold temperatures in January and early February. According to the NCDC, the average temperature in January "was -0.3 F cooler than the 1901-2000 (20th century) average." full article here
