DSHS is reporting the first death of a Texas resident with H1N1 flu. A woman from Cameron County who had chronic underlying health conditions died earlier this week. the exact casue of death is till not known at this time.

As for me and mine, I consider this a warning shot, fired over the bow of the ship. I will be beefing up preparedness!
I think you've got the right idea. Talking to family about "whatifs" for these things makes the same sense as having firedrills and natual disaster plans. then hope the Fall is a "normal" flu season.
