Duh...they just figure this out. I have a family history of high blood pressure and cholesterol, yet my heart rate is low, my blood pressure is low, cholesterol low (drives my mother-in-law crazy because of my atrocious diet). Now I have the reason why!
Staring at a women's breast is good for men's health and makes them live longer, a new survey reveals.
Researchers have discovered that a 10-minute ogle at a women's breast is as healthy as a half-an-hour in the gym.
A five-year study of 200 men found that those who enjoyed a longer look at busty beauties had lower blood pressure, less heart disease and slower pulse rates compared to those who did not get their daily eyeful.
Dr Karen Weatherby, who carried out the German study, wrote in the New England Journal of Medicine: "Just 10 miutes of staring at the charms of a well endowed female is roughly equivalent to a 30-miute aerobics workout.
So men, get out of the gym and out on the street, forget about those workouts!! Just remember to be cautious when bird watching....

When this rumour hit our shores (New Zealand) some years ago, and my husband quoted it to me, I emailed the New England Journal of Medicine to ask if they knew of it.
I got a very polite reply saying they knew of no such study and had published no such article.
It's all a myth, I'm sorry.
I wonder how many enquiries sparked by the same piece of nonsense the NEJM has fielded since then? Quite a few, I'd be guessing.
Cheers,
Otepoti
Yes, of course. I've read this a few times and also quoted it to my wife a few time as well. (alas, to no avail ;-) But I went with it to continue the discussion on the dangers of porn and self control. But probably didn't make that clear enough. Subtelties are lost in e-mail. Thanks for the research though.:-)
BTW- I hope you've noticed the new prayer study posted.
Those aren't breasts, anyway. They're confections.
God forbid that my daughters should ever be so bereft of self-respect as these two unfortunates.
KK- You are right and its why I left the picture up. It makes the point of the "Porn Myth" article so well. So many of Wolf's examples, the un real "confections", the lesbian fantasy etc.
And far from being self confident, it looks more as a desperation ploy to appeal to, well, anyone. and that is sad.
After our mammoplasties, we're just busting out with self-esteem!
Ah yes, self esteem, the modernity's snake oil
